Sean Kingston Moved To ICU, Rescuer Speaks, Bieber Tweets
Singer Sean Kingston has been stabilized and was moved from the trauma center into the intensive care unit at a Miami hospital his publicist confirmed to various news outlets. Sunday (May 29), Kingston and a female passenger crashed his dark blue and white Sea Doo jet ski into the Palm Island Bridge at approximately 6 p.m. ET.
TMZ spoke to one of Kingston’s rescuers Jonathan Rivera. Rivera, who is a member of the Coast Guard but was boating on his day off, jumped into the water when he noticed Kingston, his female passenger and their empty jet ski. The passenger had her life vest on and complained of a headache, and Kingston was without his life vest as it appeared to have come off in the crash. He was “puking up blood out of his mouth” according to Rivera.
Jimmy Vega, who was with Rivera at the time noticed a gash under Kingston’s chin and also said that the singer was throwing up blood. It appears that the “Beautiful Girls” singer was conscious and responsive at the time. Rivera told TMZ that he assured Kingston that he was going to be okay and the pop star then repeated back, “I’m going to be okay.”
Justin Bieber took to Twitter earlier today to speak on his friend’s condition. “alot of you are asking about @seankingston - he is doing better but out of respect to his family I will wait for them to comment.....” Then he tweeted, “I will continue to pray and support my friend. #getwellsean”
Kingston’s publicist, Joseph Carozza, said the singer’s family is grateful for everyone’s prayers and support.
